Sonam's debut movie was "Best Of Luck" by Manmord Sidhu which was an average one but later on, she gave many blockbuster films like 'Sardaar Ji 2', 'Punjab 1984' and many more.

Sonam's last film was Pankaj Batra's "Jinde Meriye" along with Parmish Verma, Yuvraj Hans and Navneet Kaur Dhillon in the lead roles. Meanwhile, she is all set with her upcoming film "Puadaa" by Rupinder Chahal which was about to be out in June 2020 but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been postponed.
