Talking about getting Rajkummar Rao on board for the film, Sailesh Kolanu said in a statement: `The first case of HIT tells the story of a police officer who is constantly fighting a battle with his past and his present. So it's a troubled character. I wanted to cast someone who can bring that darkness to the role and still make the audience root for him with a mature performance.`
Rajkummar Rao will be seen in the role of a police officer in this action-thriller, 'HIT' (Homicide Intervention Team) is the story of a police officer who has to find a missing woman. On the work front, Rao will be seen next in Hardik Mehta's 'Roohi Afzana' along with Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma in the pivotal roles. His upcoming projects also include Hansal Mehta's 'Chhalaang', Anurag Basu's 'Ludo', and Harshavardhan Kulkarni's 'Badhaai Do' which is a sequel of Badhaai Ho (2018).
