Shekhar Kapoor is named as one of the film directors who has made his mark not only in Bollywood but also internationally. Shekhar Kapoor started his Hindi cinema career in the year 1975 with the film 'Jaan Hazir Ho' and known best for his films such as Masoom (1983), Mr India (1987), Bandit Queen (1994). Talking about his international film projects, his historical biopics on Queen Elizabeth, 'Elizabeth' (1998), and 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age' (2007) gained him several award nominations at 'BAFTA' and 'Golden Globe' but the filmmaker won the 'BAFTA Award for outstanding British film' for his Film 'Elizabeth' (1998).
