Talking about the app, he says, `After returning to their villages, these workers have started seeking a livelihood, which is not easy in the current scenario. Though the Central Government has devised a plan to provide them with work, I felt that they needed a long-term solution. It's important to connect these workers to jobs in cities and towns, while trying to provide livelihood options in their villages, too.`
Sonu and his team have sought assistance from several companies and NGOs which will help them in providing employment to the labourers. The app is currently available in the English language but soon five more languages will be added.
Recently, Sonu helped the Mumbai police by providing them 25,000 face shields for which Maharastra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh thanked the actor on Twitter.
