Murli was shooting for a sequence where he was required to eat and deliver the dialogues. "I was to eat some non-veg stuff and deliver the dialogues, whereas I'm a strict vegetarian. The production people did not know this because I carry my own food", informs Murli. The shoot was instantly stopped and special vegetarian food was called for Murli.
Understandably so, because in ‘Buddha Mar Gaya', Murli is playing a hit man, a "major role without which the story would not move forward". It's interesting how Murli is grabbing attention in a film which has a cast comprising of actors like Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher.
The actor who also stars in Priyadarshan's ‘Dhol', ‘Chal Chala Chal', ‘Sunday' and ‘Laga Chunari Mein Daag' asserts that he might be a veggie but he prefers negative roles which are ‘meaty'.
