Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala is to be screened at Lavazza Drive-In Film Festival in Toronto on 31 July 2020. The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the largest publicly attended film festivals and most prestigious events of its kind in the world.

Sharing the news, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the details on Instagram that reads, "NEWS... #Bala to be screened at Lavazza Drive-In Film Festival in #Toronto on 31 July 2020... A unique film festival meant to overcome the sense of isolation in the safe environment of a Drive-In..."

Taran further added, "#Bala is the only #Indian film at this film festival."



Amar Kaushik's Bala (2019), is a social comedy film that is based on an original story by Bengali film director Pavel Bhattacharjee about the life of Rohit Sood. Along with Ayushmann Khurrana in the titular role, it also starred Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla, and Seema Pahwa feature in supporting roles
