Instead of expressing genuine grief over Sushant's demise, the actor used his death and took the media to settle personal scores. In this media spectacle, a lot of fingers were pointed at a few industry people. It was said that the so-called 'movie mafias' of Bollywood were key players in the suffering of the Chhichhore actor. People like Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt and Javed Akhtar have been the target of these accusations.
Actors like Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Salman Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar and others have been bearing the brunt of it through no fault of their own. Due to this personal vendetta created in the last month, these industry personalities went through a trial by the social media jury. Abuses, threats and baseless allegations were thrown at them. Alia Bhatt called out people abusing her sister Shaheen Bhatt on the Instagram platform. People like Sonakshi Sinha are working to make sure that this kind of cyber bullying ceases.
Even with all this, Kangana Ranaut has not backed down from her stance which a lot of industry insiders have called out to be a war waged to exact her personal vendettas. Now, giving a clear perspective to this hoopla, the family lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput has given a statement to a popular entertainment portal.
The lawyer stated, `To my knowledge, Kangana has not contacted the family but if in some other day she has contacted some other member of the family then I might not know. Kangana has not contacted my client, Mr KK Singh.`
On the grounds of nepotism playing a part in these unseemly circumstances, he further added, `That's a different angle completely. If tomorrow the Mumbai police feels that any outsider or any person who comes from a small town to this industry needs protection and they feel like it this is a cognizable offence, then they can go ahead and do that angle. In my legal mind, it really does not require the police to go into this matter. Maybe an Actors' Association or Producers' Association can take up this matter, but I don't think that this case has anything to do with what Kangana has suggested or anybody else is talking about.`
This statement has come as a shock to all the people who have been following this issue. Twitter is buzzing about Kangana's lack of credibility and the tide has begun to turn on her with a lot of people demanding her interrogation and subsequent arrest on the same.
The Panga actress has been summoned by the Mumbai Police to give a statement in the case of Sushant's death but since she is in her hometown of Manali at the moment, she has refused to travel to Mumbai for the same.
