With the exit of Zee's pet, Gajendra Singh, maker of talent hunt shows like 'Antakshari' and 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' a cold war was announced between India's top two entertainment channels - Zee and Star.

After alleging each other of 'hijacking' with their own versions of 'Antakshari', both the channels have once again thrown their hats for round two by announcing similar formats of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'. With Zee having announced its show some 3 week back, today Star also announced its own version by the name of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa'.

It is notable here that we first broke the news that Star is planning its own version of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' by the name of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa' around two months back.

But at that time, Star had strongly denied that it had any such plans in the pipeline. But with today's announcement, it is clear that Star doesnt want to be left behind in the race.

Announcing the launch of this exciting new show, Harsh Rohatgi, General Manager, Marketing & Content, STAR India Pvt. Ltd. said, "It's a date with destiny - not just for the contestants but for our viewers as well!

‘STAR VOICE of INDIA' is a package you can't afford to miss...unimaginable talent, melodious voices, a visionary director and India's No.1 channel - the combination is truly a winner. This summer, be prepared for some fireworks!"

Adds an exhilarated, Gajendrra Siingh, "Music is our passion and has always been. We have always endeavoured to do something with music, since we are very involved with this concept.

Talent scouting is our forte. Our focus has always been to tap talent and with STAR VOICE of INDIA, we are here to do that once again. The differentiation in this cluttered space is the music and the participants.

Besides, best production values, we are also trying to bring in a new and interesting format to make the show a success. With backing from a channel like STAR PLUS, we are confident that we will touch greater heights."

"I am very thrilled and excited about hosting STAR VOICE of INDIA. Anchoring this show comes naturally to me as I have been long associated with both, the music and this show.

I am delighted that I have got this opportunity once again and this time on STAR PLUS, which is India's Number 1 channel. It's a challenge as the channel is known for its finesse and quality and am looking forward to the entire experience", says the Host- Shaan.
