For her latest character of Anupama Banerji in the Shakuntala Devi biopic, the actress met Anupama in person, spent time with her understood her actions, her emotions, her anger, her love which we saw on screen and it was so perfect that the viewer forgot that they were in a film and it felt as real as possible. Be it the teenager phase or a grown up adult, Sanya ensured to give all the precision needed for her character. The new Bengali look also was refreshing.
