Amazon Prime Video's recent film Shakuntala Devi has caused waves ever since the film released. One of the things that the audiences have praised and loved is the detailing of the characters and how every scene was a pure delight and had a beautiful colour palette going on which added that spark on screen.

Director Anu Menon shares this process and says, `Our DOP, Keiko Nakhahara had a very particular eye for detail in her framing, lighting and positioning. She took full interest in all aspects of the frame, from the colour palette, to the positioning of the actors."

Sharing further on how the experience was a delightful one Anu Menon says, `Never one to raise her voice or use an angry tone. It was rather delightful to see her mental process and how she executed her combined vision with Anupama Banerji."


The hardwork and the efforts the entire team has put in making the biopic alive is visible in the film. Not just the characters but even the unique backdrop in every scene has been a visual delight and the entire team has worked as an A team. The hard work has paid off with all the love the audiences and critics have been pouring in constantly.

Apart from Vidya Balan, the film also stars Jisshu Sen Gupta, Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles. The film is already streaming on Amazon Prime Video and is directed by Anu Menon.

Shakuntala Devi is produced by Sony Pictures Network Productions and Vikram Malhotra and released across 200 countries and territories on the 31st of July 2020.
