Director Nishikant Kamat's death a hoax! Ritesh Deshmukh clarifies.
An apparent piece of shocking news from the Bollywood galaxy went viral on social media, when it was rumored that Nishikant Kamat had bid goodbye to the world, leaving his fans sad and despondent. As per reports, he was suffering from liver cirrhosis and was admitted to AIG hospital in Hyderabad for a long time. ​

Later, AIG Hospital PRO Satyanarayana clarifies to the TNM about the director's current health condition and said, `He is sick but he has not passed away. He is in the ICU and he is critically ill." ​

Riteish Deshmukh, who worked with him in the Marathi movie 'Lai Bhaari', dismissed such reports and tweeted, "Nishikant Kamat is on ventilator support. He is still alive & fighting. Let's pray for him." Check out his tweet here - ​



Milap Zaveri also informed his fans that Nishikant is fighting for his life and tweeted, "Just spoke to someone who is with Nishikant in the hospital right now. He hasn't passed away yet. Yes he is v critical and fighting life and death. But he is still alive." Check out his tweet here - ​



Nishikant Kamat is famous for his directorial ventures such as Drishyam, Madari, Rocky Handsome, and more. He is also highly praised for his acting in 'Rocky Handsome' and Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Bhavesh Joshi: Superhero'. More about his initial career then he started his directorial debut with Marathi films `Dombivali Fast`.
