Aamir Khan visits Turkish first lady Emine Erdogan and gets slammed on social media!

Aamir Khan is all set to come back with his upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' directed by Advait Chandan. The makers of the film have resumed shooting, taking all the precautions amid the lockdown conditions in the country.

Aamir recently went to Istanbul, Turkey to resume the next part of the shooting and met the Turkish First Lady, Emine Erdogan, on Saturday. The actor is getting slammed on Twitter for his meeting with her as Turkish president had once spoken against India. Check out some of the tweets here -





Aamir had requested the meeting and discussed the shooting of the film in Turkey. The actor also discussed the various projects taken up by him and his wife (Kiran Rao) in India. Aamir has already shot some parts of the movie in India including Amritsar, Kolkata and Chandigarh.

Laal Singh Chaddha is a comedy-drama film and an official remake of Tom Hanks' classic 'Forrest Gump'. Kareena Kapoor will be seen along with Aamir in the film. The movie was expected to release at the end of 2020 but now, its completion and release has been postponed. Its release has now been announced at Christmas 2021.
