It became a tug of war between Bihar police and CBI, who will investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's suicidal case. But today, on August 19th, the Supreme Court held that Bihar police is competent to transfer the probe in Sushant Singh Rajput death case to CBI and asked Mumbai police to hand over the case files to CBI.

The FIR in Patna was registered by K.K Singh (Sushant's father)against Chakraborty and others for alleged offenses under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 306 (abetment of suicide), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).
