Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is a director, screenwriter, author, and activist, who is also a member of the board of India's Central Board of Film Certification. The filmmaker is known for his directorial film 'The Tashkent Files' which was based on the death of former Indian prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The film stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Naseeruddin Shah, and Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles.
