Tripti Shankhdhar, who appeared in the popular TV show 'Kumkum Bhagya', has claimed a threat to her life from her father. The actress posted a video on social media in which she accused her father of serious allegations. She claimed that her father Ram Ratan Shankhdhar wants to marry her off to a person of his choice and on her refusal, he gave her death threats.

After a series of allegations by Tripti Shankhdhar, UP police have arrested her father and kept him in custody. Uttar Pradesh SP told ANI that Trupti's father is in their custody. In the video clip, Tripti Shankhdhar is heard accusing her father of pulling her by her hair and thrashing her. She alleged that her father is asking her to return the money he gave her when she went to Mumbai to make a career in the entertainment industry. She even introduced her mother in the video, in which her mother said that her husband has been torturing her ever since they got married, not allowing her to step out of the house or meet anyone.
