Cast: Fahadh Faasil, Roshan Mathew, Darshana Rajendran, and Saiju Kurup.

Director: Mahesh Narayanan

Rating: ***1/2

The story of C U Soon is about Jimmy Kurian(Roshan Mathew), who is a bank executive, and Anu(Darshana Rajendran); both live in the UAE. Anu and Jimmy find each other on a dating app, Tinder. The film shows the virtual life of the couple, they discover each other on Tinder, they chat on Hangouts and see each other through video calls on Google Duo.

Having met Anu on the web, Jimmy feels it important to know more about her. So he asks his cousin Kevin Thomas(Fahadh Faasil), who is a techie, to check if he is not being cheated. When Kevin gives a clean chit about Anu, without thinking much, Jimmy proposes Anu on a video call in the presence of her mother.

Trouble erupts when Jimmy notices wounds on Anu's face and assumes that it is due to her father's ill-treatment. Soon Anu moves in with Jimmy and then everything seems normal and happy. After living at Jimmy's place for about a week, Anu vanishes leaving behind an alarming video note. What all happens next will not let your attention wander off the screen for a second.

Mahesh Narayanan's directed film "C U Soon", beats the similar theme of "Khuda Haafiz" but is made interestingly. Its amazing script and innovative editing lift the story and hope without getting into the usual melodrama like other films.

Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran have done a great job and have done justice with their respective characters. However, Fahadh Faasil in the role of a cyber specialist has won our hearts.

If we talk about music, Gopi Sunder's work can take your focus off the screen, as it makes you miss a line of chat that makes all the sense. Apart from this, there are certain flaws that you might notice but can sweep under the carpet.

Overall, the film focuses on a couple's virtual life and renders a multitude of emotions ranging from love, tension and anger.
