Based on the ongoing news regarding Rhea Chakraborty's drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput's case, the party leader in his letter wrote that there should be two-year imprisonment and a lifetime ban from working in the film industry for actors who fail the test. As he thinks that the new generation treats them as their icon and adopts their favorite actor's lifestyle.
He further highlights the increasing number of Bollywood 'drug parties' is leading to a bad effect on the youth as they are also getting involved in drugs.
The great filmmaker Hansel Mehta also shared his views on the matter and said that although the Hindi film industry has its rotten apples, it is unfair to generalize all artists as debauches. He tweeted with mentioning anyone names and wrote, "I've spent nearly 23 years making movies in Bombay. Not every party has been scintillating but some I've attended have been usually fun, full of camaraderie, bonding with colleagues and mostly great conversations over booze, cigarettes and some great, great food." She tweeted, "Globally, 99 % of judges, politicians, babus, officials, cops are corrupt. This statement cannot be a generic description for all. People are intelligent. They can differentiate between good/ bad. Few bad apples cannot spoil a basket. Likewise, our industry also has the good and the bad.` Check out her tweet here -
