Now amid the save theatres movement, it was rumored that Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb' will release in cinema halls only. The film was all set to release on the Disney+Hotstar platform on September 9th, but pulled out by the filmmakers from digital release and it also had been said that due to some technical issues and unfinished patchwork, 'Laxmmi Bomb' will release in November.
Now according to the media sources, the filmmakers have rubbished all the floating rumours and said, `No, Laxmmi Bomb is not being pulled out of the OTT platform. These are absolutely fake stories that have no meaning. Disney Hotstar is absolutely going ahead with its plan to release Laxxmi Bomb.`
As per the media reports, "Laxmmi Bomb will be premiered online on Diwali 2020 with a decided tentative date of November 13th, 2020. A little bit of post-production work is remaining which also includes some patchwork. So once Akshay Kumar returns from London after 'Bell Bottom' shoot, the team of 'Laxmmi Bomb' will wrap those portions.
With no clear date for the reopening of theatres in sight, more and more filmmakers are joining the OTT bandwagon. In July month, Disney+Hotstar announced a bundle of films that have been scheduled for the direct digital release which includes 'Sadak 2', 'Lootcase', 'Bhuj: The pride of India' and more. Likewise, Amazon and Netflix and other digital streaming media services are also coming forward with many latest movies. Now, we have to wait and watch, when the theatres will open in India and we can enjoy the pleasure of watching our favorite films on the silver screen.
