Anil Kapoor's home production film 'Gandhi-My Father', staring Akshay Khanna in the lead, is gearing up for release and is expected to hit the theatres in the month of August.

Though the film has been ready for some time now, but reports say that Anil had been looking for the right time to release the film. Guess the right time has come for the release.

The film has been kept under the wraps and even Akshay was not willing to talk about it at any point of time. However, insiders say that it is Akshay's best performance till date.

Those who have taken a sneak peek at the movie say that it is a well made movie which deals with a sensitive issue and will surely be appreciated by the film enthusiasts.

There are also speculations of it being India's next entry into the Oscars.

In the recent past too there were two films namely 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara' and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' which had a strong presence of Gandhi. (SAMPURN)
