Me, and my wife Neelam; both of us love traveling and we make it a point to go on holidays at least four times in a year.

Although I have traveled to a lot of destinations across globe, if there is one destination I would like to visit again and again, it has to be Goa for the simple reason that it is a beach resort and both of us love beaches.

Another reason why Goa excites me is because of its proximity from Mumbai. Its just a few hours drive and whenever we get an off for few days, we are off. Though Goa's beauty can not be defined in words, I would still give it a try.

Goa still has a village life which is slow paced. Once you are there, you will definitely be at peace. For actors like me, who shoots days together it certainly provides the much needed peace of mind.

At least I feel very comfortable there. I love to hang around at the beaches and the place where I would certainly love to be is The Taj Village. It is a lovely place and whenever I'm in Goa you will find me at the Taj.

Being a vegetarian I have little scope for a variety of dishes in Goa, but I love the restaurant called Banyan Tree. They serve some delicious Oriental food.

I discovered Goa on one of my trips and don't ask me the number of times I have been there. I actually have lost count.

There are lots of memories attached to the place, but the one which I will never ever forget is the one which took place in the same year as my marriage. Neelam and I were in Goa that year.

It was around midnight that we decided to take a stroll at the beach. We left the hotel but soon we realized that we were lost. Since it was midnight, all the bon-fires were out and we could not see a single house or a person any where.

What we did was sat on a field and opened the bottle of wine that we were carrying and had a good night-out. It was great fun since we were newly married.

As for shopping in Goa, well, if you really want value for money do visit the Tibetian Silver House where you are sure to find souvenirs of your choice. Yes you do have to bargain a bit, but it will be certainly worth it.

So all you people who are looking for a short relaxing break, do visit Goa. The people, the beaches, the nights and the days everything will appeal to you. Rest all I would like to say would be explore it your way, I would not advice anything from my experience. - As told to Mili Swarnakar
