Whenever a film receives a prestigious award at the international level it always helps the Industry to produce and promote such films. The same thing now happened with an Indian film by filmmaker Chaitanya Tamhane's Marathi language feature film 'The Disciple', which has bagged the 'Best Screenplay award' at the 2020 Venice Film Festival. Several Bollywood actors have shouted out on the film achievement on social media. Ayushmann Khurrana has also posted a picture on the photo-sharing app and talked about the film in brief.

Ayushmann Khurrana took to his Instagram story and shared a quoted article from the news of a leading newspaper and wrote, "The Disciple has bagged the prestigious FIPRESCI award at the 2020 Venice Film Festival! It is also the first Indian Film in 30 years to do so! Congratulations Chaitanya Tamhane! The entire nation is proud of you." The actor concluded the note with a yellow heart and Indian flag emoji.
