Rhea was presented before the judge via video conference and after hearing both the sides, the custody was extended till October 6th. Along with her court has also extended her brother Showik, Dipesh, Samuel Miranda till October 6th. Meanwhile, Rhea, Showik and other accused have been sent in judicial custody till October 6th. If in case they found guilty over accused drug charges then they may have to face up to ten years imprisonment.
Today, Rhea and Showik applied for bail in the Bombay High Court and Advocate Satish Manshinde had shared in a statement, "Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty have filed an application for Bail in the NDPS Case in the Bombay High Court. It is coming up for hearing on 23rd Sept 2020 before Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The details of the bail applications will be shared after the hearing on 23rd Sept."
