Ronnie Screwvala's production company UTV after co-producing and distributing Mira Nair's The Namesake and I Think I Love My Wife with Fox Searchlight, has set up base in Los Angeles to make mainstream Hollywood films.

They've even tied up with Oscar nominated actor Will Smith production company, Overbrook Entertainment for two co-productions.

One film would be a live-action, mainstream Hollywood film and the other an animation film along the lines of Shrek, where Will Smith will lend his voice.

The last time he came to India, he and Ronnie hit it off very well and he was looking at India for film production.

He has seen parts of Devdas and Rang De Basanti and finally got the right partner in UTV adds that UTV is also doing a film with M Night Shyamalan, called The Happening, which goes into production on June 20. "It will take off in Philadelphia, and is a co-production with 20th Century Fox.
