Goan actress Poonam Karekar-Govekar is livid. And rightly so. The spunky actress who is doing a film inspired by the life of our former Defence Minister the late Manohar Parrikar is upset at the way pin-up girl Poonam Pandey has misused the law and the media.

Poonam Karekar-Govekar claims that the entire FIR episode and the subsequent arrest of her newly-wed husband Sam Bombay was a well-thought of and cold-blooded publicity stunt. She wanted to be in the national news. And when news of her marriage failed to get her in the limelight, she resorted to a sinister plan, which is however well-known and an old trick when it comes to sensationalism and controversy.

It was well-planned. The idea was to make some allegations which would get Sam arrested and taken into police custody. Or else, in the absence of an FIR, the national media would not cover it. However, the allegations were such that Sam would stay behind bars only for a few hours. If not less.

Responding to Poonam Pandey's media statement that she wants to take back her complaint against her newly-married husband film director Sam Bombay whom she had accused of molestation, criminal intimidation and assault, Karekar-Govekar said that she always knew that Pandey's FIR was fake and was just a publicity stunt.

Poonam Pandey must be punished. She has filed a fake FIR and misused the law. This was all just a publicity stunt. There are no images of her bruises or wounds as claimed by her, Karekar alleged.

Poonam Pandey who spoke to Spotboye.com said she was taking back her complaint and wanting to patch up with her husband. She has not shown any photos of bruises or injuries on her face and body, as was alleged in her complaint. This itself proves that she is lying, says Karekar-Govekar.

Alleging that the entire Poonam Pandey molestation episode and police FIR sounds fishy, Goan actress and model Poonam Karekar Govekar thad launched a #Justice4SamBombay online campaign to support Poonam Pandey's newly-married husband who in her opinion has been wrongly accused of molestation, etc. Poonam Karekar-Govekar is currently shooting for a film inspired by the life of the late Manohar Parrikar titled "The Parrikar I Knew". She is also doing a web series.
