Just before its release, the film was sent to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for clearance but as expected the film got chopped over its inappropriate dialogues and lyrics. As per the rules, CBFC removed 'virginity', 'item' words from the film and also some of the sensuous and explicit parts of 'Tehas Nehas' song.
Dialogues such as 'Saale Nalla Hai Tu. Fattu hai', 'Dus Saal Tak Virgin Raha; hold Karke Baitha Tha', 'Virgin Bhramachari' and 'Harami' were omitted. 'Maa Ki Aankh' was replaced with 'Bhains Ki Aankh', 'Maa Ki' with 'Bhains Ki', 'item' with 'Ladki' and 'r****i' was replaced with 'aunty'.
'KhaaliPeeli' is a romantic action film directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Ali Abbas Zafar, Zee Studios, and Himanshu Mehra. The film features Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey in the lead role whereas Jaideep Ahlawat will portray the antagonist role. Earlier it was rumored that the film was inspired by South Star Vijay Deverakonda's 'Taxiwaala', which was a big hit in the South but later on Khaali Peeli's filmmakers denied such rumors. The film is set to release on ZEE Plex, October 2nd.
