In June 2018, it was announced that Priyanka Chopra will publish her memoir titled `Unfinished`, which is scheduled to be released in 2020 by Penguin Books in India, Ballantine Books in the United States, and Michael Joseph in the United Kingdom. Now finally, after two years of waiting, Priyanka has finished writing her memoir and shared the first look on social media. The actress always wanted to be an author, and from a long time, writing stuff was on her 'bucket list'. With 'Unfinished', she admitted that this memoir has deep meaning for her and also shared the pre-order link on the social media platforms.

But just within 12 hours of being made available for pre-order, Priyanka Chopra's memoir, 'Unfinished', has become the best-selling book in the US. Although Unfinished is expected to arrive in January but still her fan-following took a new high when she shared the news on Twitter and wrote, "Thank you all for taking us to number 1 in the US in less than 12 hours! I hope you all love the book." Check out her tweet here -

On Friday, Priyanka Chopra shared the first look of her memoir 'Unfinished' on Instagram and wrote, "Ironically, I named this memoir years before I started writing it. Having been a public person now for 20 years, with so much life to live and a long list of things to check off my list personally and professionally, I am very much #Unfinished. BUT the funny thing about writing a memoir is that it forces you to look at things differently, reconciling so many things you thought you had put to bed. In doing so I've realized that being `unfinished" has deeper meaning for me, and has in fact been one of the most common threads of my life...PRE-ORDER NOW! (link in bio)." Priyanka Chopra further posted a sneak peek of her memoir and wrote, "My parents taught me at a very young age to have courage of conviction, and I've never been ambivalent about this. I have always been guided by my curiosity, drive for challenge, and intrinsic need to constantly evolve and move forward. I have taken many leaps of faith, often times when I was advised not to...and even when I too was afraid. Some risks paid off, some didn't (my life is not a fairytale, although I do hate to lose...c'est la vie), but what I learned during this process is that I have never shied away from change, or forced guilt on myself for leaving something unfinished if that's what my evolution as an individual required... #unfinished." She ended the unfinished glimpse by sharing a short video of her writing on the memoir and wrote, "...And so, while you'll definitely learn about how I became me during the `in between` of what you haven't seen, I also hope you'll walk away with the confidence of knowing that IT'S OK to pick up, walk away, leave things unfinished, and move on to what's next if that's what your journey requires to get to the next destination. We all have a different story to tell, this is my story, and I am #Unfinished." Check out her post here -

In February 2019, during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show' starring host Jimmy Fallon, Priyanka Chopra revealed her writing plans and talked about her memoir. She explained the 'Unfinished' title and said, `It's called Unfinished because there's so much I want to do with my life, and because I haven't written it yet." Meanwhile, the actress had also written 50 opinion columns for the Hindustan Times in 2009.
