Mrunal Thakur, a famous TV personality who made her way in the Bollywood industry with Love Sonia (2018) recently opened up about the ongoing nepotism debate. The actress says that she never felt like an outsider in the film industry as she always recieved guidance from her seniors.Talking to a media portal, Thakur repotedly revealed that she had Ekta Kapoor by her side in her Television period and Karan Johar advised him what needs to be done in films.
Speaking about Nepotism, she further said though she is grateful for the Bollywood films she has been a part , she admitted that not all of them have been encouraging. She accepted them she faced a lot of rejections but never lost to star kids.
She further reportedly stated that eveyone should not blame the star kids for their privelge as they also put in the same amount of hardwork in their art. She gave examples of Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday that these actresses did a lot of hardwork for their debut Bollywood films 'Dhadak' and 'Student od The Year 2'.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mrunal will next be seen in 'Jersey' , a sports drama film that features Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. Shahid will be playing a cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for Indian team. 'Jersey' is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film of the same name. Shahid Kapoor will be resuming the shoot of the film this month as some cricket shots are yet to be taken.
