This some comes straight from Chennai. There has been strong buzz about the couple`s martial status. The Tamil press has gone berserk about their so-called split. If rumours are to be believed the couple have reportedly decided to end their marriage. For Sarika, the ghost of Kamal`s first marriage seems to have returned (Kamal was married earlier to Vani Ganapathy).

Kamal and Sarika married after the birth of their first child 14 years. There`s no official confirmation from the couple and thought Kamal was in Mumbai recently (to attend the meet of Frames 2002) he avoided press, which normally he doesn`t. The couple`s troubled marriage came to limelight, after the Sarika`s accident (she fell from the terrace of her house). Eyebrows have been raised on that reported accident. Section of the media also reported it as a suicide attempt after she came t know about the hubby`s so-called secret rendezvous with actress Simran. For Kamal the split comes at a time when his professional career has hit an all time low.

His last film `Abbhay` bombed, and his ambitious project `Marudanayakam` has been infinitely shelved. And his other home production `Ladies Only` which was completed years back has reportedly no buyers.
