'Mirzapur' a show that depicts the putrescence, governance, and rule of mafia dons and the rivalry and crime prevailing in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh is all set back with its second season on the Amazon Prime's streaming service. On Tuesday, Amazon released the trailer of the much-awaited series of the year and it thrilled the audience with its guns, murders, and lawlessness glimpse. But it seems like that a few sections of the social media users are not happy with the trailer and are boycotting the series which is set to premiere on October 23rd.

The reason apparently is Ali Fazal, and Mirzapur co-producer Farhan Akhtar. As netizens have referred to Ali Fazal's December 2019 tweet, when he protests against the CAA and NRC act. In the tweet, Ali used his character Guddu's dialogue from Mirzapur, reads, `Suru Majboori Mein Kiye Thhey, Ab Maja Aa Raha Hai!` Whereas, Farhan Akhtar is being called out for taking part in anti-CAA protests. Well, there are also another section of social media users who are eagerly waiting for this crime-thriller series and it has been now two years since the first season release. In the second season, new players have joined the game and it includes Vijay Varma, Amit Sial and Priyanshu Painyuli. On the other side, Guddu is all set to take a cold-blooded revenge from the Tripathi family. The series features Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Sheeba Chadha, Harshita Gaur in the pivotal roles. Mirzapur 2 will stream on Amazon Prime, October 23rd.
