The trailer of Ishaan Khatter and Tabu starrer TV series 'A Suitable Boy' has been released by Netflix. The series is based on Vikram Seth's famous book with the same name. Directed by Mira Nair, the show promises nostalgia and lavishness in equal measures and showcases a royal tale with impeccable detailing.

'A Suitable Boy' is a novel by Vikram Seth, published in 1993, the book is one of the longest novels ever published in a single volume, in the English language. In the trailer, you will see Ishaan Khattar and Tabu together, their chemistry and relationship have shown beautifully on screen. Set in a newly independent India of 1951, the series follows the coming of age of Lata (Tanya Maniktala), a spirited university student and her meddling mother's wish to choose a suitable husband for her. On the other side, directionless Maan Kapoor (Ishaan Khatter) falls for Saeeda Bai (Tabu) whose romantic entanglements begin to jeopardize his father's political career. The series features Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, and Ram Kapoor in the pivotal roles. A Suitable Boy is written by Andrew Davies the six-part series and helmed by Mira Nair. The series has already premiered in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2020 on BBC One. In India, Netflix is the exclusive distributor of the series in India and all set to release the series on October 23rd.
