Applause Entertainment which has previously adapted acclaimed International Television shows such as 'Criminal Justice', 'Hostages', 'The Office' among others has taken the adaptation rights of one more popular foreign series. Now the content studio is all set to develop the Indian version of the French show 'Call My Agent' that debuted in 2015 on a French TV channel and became a global sensation when it dropped on Netflix. It's believed that the Indian version will chronicle the controversial real-life stories of Bollywood film agents who control the lives of the stars.

According to the media source, "Applause Entertainment, in association with Banijay Asia, announces the Indian adaptation of Netflix's French show, 'Call My Agent'. Rajat Kapoor, Aahana Kumra, Ayush Mehra, Soni Razdan and Radhika Sethh are also set to star in the series adaptation. Filmmaker Shaad Ali who's previously directed romantic dramas like Saathiya (2002), Bunty Aur Babli (2005) and Soorma (2018), will direct the web-series and the Hindi adaptation will be written by Hussain & Abbas Dalal.

The content studio has also confirmed the news and shared the details on social media.



'Call My Agent' plotline revolves around the life of the talent agency ASK (Agence Samuel Kerr) agents Andrea, Mathias, Gabriel, and Arlette who used to juggle tricky situations and defend their vision of the business. They skillfully combine art and business, but their private and professional lives sometimes come into conflict. While struggling to save their agency shaken by the sudden death of its founder, the four agents take us behind the scenes of the wild world of celebrity where laughter, emotion, transgression and tears constantly collide. 'Call My Agent!' is a French television series and is available on Netflix.
