After the release of 'Khaali Peeli,' Ishaan Khatter is focusing more on the promotion of his upcoming Netflix's mini-series 'A Suitable Boy'. Ahead of its release, the actor recently shared a few BTS pictures as a birthday surprise for his director Mira Nair on social media. 'A Suitable Boy' has already been released in the UK and Ireland and received critically acclaimed for its storyline, direction and acting aspects. The series is based on Vikram Seth's famous book with the same name, published in 1993, the book is one of the longest novels ever published in a single volume, in the English language.

Ishaan Khatter shared a string of stills from 'A Suitable Boy' on Instagram and captioned it, "..more shades #asuitableboy @netflix_in 23rd Oct." In the mini-series, we will see Ishaan for the first time with Tabu as a romantic couple who are involved in a relationship with each other that has a barrier of class, status and age gap. In the series, directionless Maan Kapoor (Ishaan Khatter) falls for Saeeda Bai (Tabu) whose romantic entanglements begin to jeopardize his father's political career and shackle him. The series features Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, and Ram Kapoor in the pivotal roles. A Suitable Boy is written by Andrew Davies the six-part series and helmed by Mira Nair. The series has already premiered in the United Kingdom on 26 July 2020 on BBC One. In India, Netflix is the exclusive distributor of the series in India and all set to release the series on October 23rd.
