Metro screened worldwide without intermission

UTV's latest venture 'Life in a... Metro', directed by Anurag Basu, will be screened in theatres across the world, except in India, without an intermission.

The film which boasts of a starcast like Kay Kay Menon, Irfan Khan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Sharman Joshi, Shilpa Shetty AND Shiney Ahuja is being released worldwide this Friday with 190 prints.

The film will have premières in world metros like Dubai and Mumbai besides the one's held in London, Sydney, and Melbourne so far. UTV sources said it was perhaps for the first time that an Indian film like western movies will run for the length of 2.09 hours without any intermission.

In Metro, director Basu portrays the lives of three couples and their emotional journeys in a modern metropolis.

The film's premiere was held in London on Tuesday. Significantly it was London's favourite girl Shilpa Shetty's first release after the 'Big Brother' win.
