Shahid Kapoor wraps up the Uttarakhand shooting schedule of 'Jersey', says 'Feel proud of the team'

After taking a six months break due to the coronavirus pandemic, Shahid Kapoor had resumed the shooting of his forthcoming film 'Jersey'. And now recently it is learned that the team of Jersey has wrapped the Uttarakhand shooting schedule of the film. Shahid took it to social media to announce that he wrapped another schedule of Jersey and thanked the Uttarakhand government for supporting them with safety protocols.

Shahid shared a tweet and also an Instagram post along with his picture to announce the wrap. He wrote on Twitter, " It's a wrap on this schedule of #Jersey. I would like to thank the Govt of Uttarakhand for supporting and putting in place efficient policies that enabled us to safely shoot and wrap the schedule of our film in the many beautiful locations of the state."

While sharing his picture on Insta, he captioned the post, "It's a wrap on another schedule of #jersey . In such times to be able to pull this off really felt like a blessing. Feel proud of the team for powering through and being so positive."



Helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, 'Jersey' is a sports drama film and a remake of a 2019 Telugu-language film under the same title. It features Shahid Kapoor in the lead role as a cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for the Indian team. Mrunal Thakur has grabbed the female lead in the film.

Backed by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Rajuwas, the film was scheduled to be theatrically released on 28 August 2020 but got delayed due to COVID-19.
