Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster hit film 'Don' (2006) is celebrating its 14 years today. With the first and second part of this iconic film getting a huge success, the fans are now demanding an update on Don 3. Although there have been several speculations in the last few years, director Farhan Akhtar has many times clarified that there's no development as far as the third part of the film is concerned.

And because today marks the 14-year completion of 'Don', Farhan Akhtar, the director, and producer of the film shared a cryptic and exciting post to celebrate the success of 'Don'. He wrote on Twitter, "Don ko yaad rakhne ki zaroorat nahin kyon ki Don ko bhool jaana namumkin hai. #14YearsOfDon". Well, fans are assuming that sooner or later the third part of the film might come with the third part.

Don is an action thriller film that starred Priyanka Chopra, with Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, Isha Koppikar, and Om Puri appearing in supporting roles. The film was a remake of the 1978 film of the same name. The film received much success as it grossed over ₹1.06 billion at the box-office against a production and marketing budget of ₹380 million and was the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of 2006.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is yet to officially announce his next project. The actor was last seen in Anand L Rai's 'Zero'. Earlier this year, he reportedly finalized two projects including Siddharth Anand's Pathan and Atlee's next yet-untitled film. It is suggested that SRK is planning to make an official announcement on the same on his birthday this year (November 2).
