Amid the Coronavirus lockdown, Sonu Sood is known for helping people and generally called as 'messiah of migrants'. The actor's micro-blogging site is filled with helping tweets. Even Sonu admitted that on a daily routine he received infinite requests from needy people for his financial assistance. Recently, he penned a note on how it has become difficult for him to reach out to every person who sought his help. He further wished for more prosperity everywhere.

Sonu Sood took to Instagram and shared a picture of his floor covered with an ample amount of letter-post mails he received every day. He wrote, `HELP` mails that I receive everyday. I wish I could reach out to everyone, which looks impossible. For his social programs, Sonu Sood received the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award for helping stranded migrants during the coronavirus pandemic by arranging food, buses, train tickets, and chartered flights for them. With this, Sonu Sood joins the likes of Angelina Jolie, David Beckham, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Watson, Liam Neeson, Cate Blanchett, Antonio Banderas, Nicole Kidman, and Priyanka Chopra who have been similarly honored by different UN bodies.

On the work front, he was last seen in Rohit Shetty's cop universe 'Simmba' as Durva Ranade. On the other side, Sonu Sood will join the star cast of Chandraprakash Dwivedi's historical period-drama film, 'Prithviraj' alongside Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar.
