The legendary writer, Harivansh Rai Bachchan needs no introduction as his poetries have inspired millions of readers across the globe. His son and legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan has also inherited the 'love for words' from his late father. He had often called him as a man of immense will power, humility and simple taste and usually shared his written poem on social media. The late writer had given a plethora of poems to the Indian literature and now a square in the Polish city, 'Wroclaw' will be named after Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan shared a sneak peek of a square in the Polish city of Wroclaw, which has been named after his late father, Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The veteran actor wrote, "The City Council of the City of Wroclaw, Poland has decided to name a Square after my Father .. there could not have been a more apt blessing on Dushhera than this .. a moment of extreme pride for the family, for the Indian community in Wroclaw .. and India .. JAI HIND 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳." Check out his post here -



Along with fans, several Bollywood celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Sunil Shetty, Aahaana Kumra also reacted to the news and also expressed their happiness by dropping messages to the actor. In December 2019, Amitabh Bachchan announced that Wroclaw has decided to name a square in his father's name and Poland city is honoring his late father.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next feature in Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
