Reacting to this, Kangana got furious and slammed Uddhav Thackeray with her tweets on social media. Kangana said that the CM is indulging should be ashamed of himself for misusing his power to insult and damage people. " You should be ashamed of yourself chief minister, being a public servant you are indulging in petty fights, using your power to insult, damage, and humiliate people who don't agree with you, you don't deserve the chair you have acquired by playing dirty politics. SHAME."

CM further said in his speech, `Mumbai is PoK, there are drug addicts everywhere - they are painting such a picture. They don't know in our house we grow tulsi, not ganja. Ganja fields are in your state, you know where, not in our Maharashtra.` To which Kangana gave a befitting reply on Twitter.

Kangana also shared a video message on Instagram. Here's what she said:
Kangana Ranaut had earlier targetted the Mumbai Police and expressed concern over her safety in the state after which Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had said that she should not come back to Mumbai from Manali if she feels that the police can't protect her.
Kangana then reacted to these statements and compared Mumbai with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir which became a topic of heated arguments. The war of words didn't stop there. Raut went on to call Kangana 'haramkhor' on a news channel and the Shiv Sena-led BMC demolished her office in September citing illegal construction.
