Shraddha Kapoor, who left her mark in the hearts of the audience with her stellar performances in movies like 'Stree' and 'Chhichhore' is coming up with some big projects. It has been recently learned that Colors TV's most popular show 'Naagin' is getting a spin-off. And guess what, Shraddha is all set to play one of the most iconic roles of Hindi cinema that is deep-rooted in our Indian folklore.

Shraddha has signed one of the biggest projects of 2020, a three-film series based on the shape-shifting 'naagin' where Shraddha will be playing the lead role. In our history of Hindi cinema, Vyjayanthimala, Reena Roy, Rekha, and Sridevi have played similar roles and got their cult status in filmdom.

The yet-untitled franchise will be directed by Vishal Furia. Speaking about the film, Shraddha said, `It's an absolute delight to play a 'naagin' on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolizing Sridevi ma'am in 'Nagina' and 'Nigahen' and always wanted to play a similar role that is rooted in Indian folklore.`

Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, the film will revolve around a love story and will be mounted with some exciting visual effects and will be made into a trilogy. Reportedly, the first part of the film will go on floors next year.
