The somber Irrfan Khan usually seen in serious roles is all set to surprise us and team up with the badshah of comedy, David Dhawan.
Contrary to popular belief Irfan loves to be wild onscreenand looks to add humour Even in his serious roles serious roles. "Realistic acting is very boring. I love to pick out the
comic aspect of a character.
I love doing comedy. I love the last portion of Metro where I sweep Konkona (Sen Sharma) off her feet from my wedding ghodi. I love
the fact that my character doesn't take himself seriously, " quips Irfan.
When David approached him He has told Irfan he wanted him to be part of one of his films. One of two scripts needsto be finalised. This is supposed to be an out-and-out
comedy.
Right now he is working on Rohit Shetty's Sunday which is more a thriller than a comedy.
David Dhawan wouldn't be Irrfan's first full-fledged comedy. "I've done full-on comedy in Aditya's Bhattacharya's Dubai Return. But that's yet to be released" says Irfan.
Speaking of funny behaviour, Irrfan stares at one particular part of Konkona's anatomy in Metro.
"Yeah. What's wrong with that? I wish men and women would look at each other more closely before marriage so they'd know they wouldn't get into a wrong marriage, at
least physically."
