After the huge success of 'Kabir Singh', Shahid Kapoor is now gearing up to rock on the screen once again as the actor is currently shooting for his upcoming sports drama film 'Jersey'. Shahid lately wrapped up the Uttarakhand shooting schedule of the film and now is all set to kickstart the shoot in Chandigarh.

The actor had earlier started the shoot in Chandigarh but had to return back in the wake of lockdown following coronavirus. Now, the actor is all set to fly to Chandigarh once again as the shoot will resume from 9 November. It will be a 15-day schedule for the team where Shahid will mainly shot for the cricket playing scenes. As per media sources, `Shahid Kapoor has been prepping to shoot crucial sequences. He will commence the Chandigarh schedule of Jersey on November 9. The makers plan to shoot important cricket sequences. It will be a 15-day schedule for Shahid Kapoor and the Jersey team.`

Meanwhile, Gowtam Tinnanuri's 'Jersey' is a sports drama film and a remake of a 2019 Telugu-language film under the same title. It features Shahid Kapoor in the lead role as a cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for the Indian team. Mrunal Thakur has grabbed the female lead in the film.

Backed by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill, and Dil Rajuwas, the film was scheduled to be theatrically released on 28 August 2020 but got delayed due to COVID-19.
