According to the sources, "It's clear and confirmed! No big Hindi film is releasing in theatres. All the big-budget, A-lister offerings including '83', 'Sooryavanshi' & 'Radhe' will come out only next year when cinemas open in full capacity in India and overseas. Expect a Biggie only in March 2021."
Before the confirmation, it was said that Kabir Khan's 83 will be released on Christmas 2020 and Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi in 2021. But now Reliance Entertainment Group CEO Shibasish Sarkar has announced 83 is eyeing a January to March 2021 release for the film, led by Ranveer Singh.
In an interview with a leading entertainment portal, "Christmas is no longer a possibility as we won't be able to set up a marketing campaign within a month. Also, the overseas markets are important for both films and some of them have shut again due to the second wave of COVID."
Whereas Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi was originally scheduled to release on 24 March, and the Kabir Khan-directed 83 was set to hit the theatres on 10 April. But now fans have to wait for the next year for their favorite stars' films.
On the other hand, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, will release on 13 November. As ZEE Studios official Shariq Patel confirmed that the film would not release digitally for now. Meanwhile theatres and multiplex are re-opening in Maharashtra with 50 percent capacity. Well, now we have to see whether Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari will release in cinema hall and if it will release then what will the audience respond to it and how will it work on the box office.
