Malavika Mohanan has predominantly worked in Malayalam language films and also appeared in Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada language films. She is the daughter of cinematographer K. U. Mohanan made her acting debut with the romantic drama Pattam Pole (2013). She won critical acclaim after appearing in Majid Majidi's drama film, Beyond the Clouds(2017), portraying a dweller of Mumbai's dhobi ghat area.
According to the sources, "After tasting super success with The Family Man especially on the web, several OTT giants were in talks with the director duo to design a project for them. They have finally been signed on by a leading digital platform for an original show which will have all the essential ingredients that a usual Bollywood film has. It's a thriller that will have the quirks of Raj and DK infused in it. They approached Shahid for the same and he loved it. He has signed on the dotted line."
It is also stated that Shahid had signed a 100 crore deal with streaming platform Netflix for the action-drama series. Even earlier, Raj & DK were reportedly supposed to collaborate with Shahid back in 2014 for the film titled Farzi but unfortunately, the plan couldn't go well.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shahid recently wrapped up the Uttarakhand schedule of his upcoming sports drama 'Jersey' and commenced the Chandigarh schedule of the movie on November 9. Besides 'Jersey', Shahid will also be seen in Shashank Khaitan's upcoming action film titled 'Yoddha'.
