Akshay Kumar has a huge lineup of films in his kitty, including period drama, 'Prithviraj', and the cross-cultural love story 'Atrangi Re' and others. Recently, his horror-comedy film Laxmii was released on the Disney+Hotstar but unfortunately, the film didn't go well with the audience's expectations. Now, it has been stated, the actor has given his nod to one more film that will all set to go on the floors in July 2021.

According to the inside sources, `Akshay has come on board for Mudassar Aziz's next, a whacky comedy. He said 'yes' as soon as he heard the subject. He is trying to consciously strike a balance between real-life subjects, action thrillers, love stories with a difference, and laughter riots." More about the director Mudassar Aziz the he is known for his hit films, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Happy Bhaag jayegi and more.

If the reports are true then Akshay Kumar has almost 10 films in his kitty which includes Prithviraj, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Ekta Kapoor's action film, and more in pipelines. With his nod to the Mudassar Aziz directorial wacky comedy film, this film will be the fourth film of the actor he will shoot in 2021. He is in talks for 2 more films, and investigates thriller and a social comedy but he is yet to take a final call on them.

On the other side, Akshay Kumar starrer cop drama 'Sooryavanshi' is one of the most anticipated films of the year and along with the audience, filmmakers are also waiting for the film to release in the cinema halls. In the film, Akshay Kumar is in the titular role while Katrina Kaif plays his love interest. Apart from them, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, have special appearances in the movie. Earlier it was stated that the film will release on Diwali but even despite the central government's permission to open the theatres from October 15th onwards, makers are still thinking to exceed the release date as cinema halls are opening with 50% occupancy. Now it has been said that the film will hit the theatres in March 2021.
