Rohit Shetty is eagerly waiting for his next venture Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar but the film will be speculated to release in March 2021. Well, now Rohit has moved forward and focused more on Ranveer Singh's starring sarcastic comedy, 'Cirkus'. Where the storyline follows the lives of two pairs of identical twins who are separated due to an unfortunate incident. However, years later, their lives intertwine, leading to confusion and misunderstandings. Now, it has been reported that director Rohit is all set to kick-off the shoot after Diwali and has also booked the entire Mehboob Studio and is working on its pre-production. He is also planning to shoot the film in Hyderabad, Goa, and Ooty.

According to a media report, "Ranveer Singh will kick off the shoot at Yash Raj Studios followed by Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai. Rohit Shetty has already booked three floors in Mehboob Studios and is working towards the pre-production is underway as the sets are being erected. There's also a schedule in Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad. Since Shetty has also considered shooting in Goa as his lucky charm, there is a schedule there as well along with Ooty."

Earlier it was said that the film is a remake of 1982's Angoor but Rohit Shetty cleared the rumors and said that it's an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play 'The Comedy Of Errors'. Well, to elaborate it more on the connection of Angoor and 'The Comedy Of Errors' then 1982 Angoor was the remake of the Indian Film 'Do Dooni Char' which was the remake of 1963 Bengali language comedy film 'Bhrantibilas', based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's Bengali novel by the same name, which itself was based on Shakespeare's play 'The Comedy of Errors'. So complicated just like its storyline! But Rohit has opted for an easy way and simply named it as a play adaptation.

The film, 'Cirkus' features an eclectic star cast which includes Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma. In the film, Ranveer Singh will play a double role opposite Pooja Hegde & Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is all set to hit the cinema halls in 2021.
