Aditya Roy Kapur made his Bollywood debut with the 2009 film London Dreams but rose to fame with the 2013 film Aashiqui 2. Today, the actor turned 35, and to make his birthday more special, filmmaker Ahmed Khan announced his new project titled 'Om: The Battle Within' in which Aditya will be seen in an action avatar. The film will be helmed by Kapil Verma and co-produced by himself, his wife Shaira Khan and Zee Studios. Well, recently, we saw the actor in Anurag Kashyap's dark comedy 'Ludo' for which he received numerous critical acclaim for his performance in the film.

While sharing his shirtless picture, Ahmed Khan shared the announcement and wrote, "Presenting @adityaroykapur in OM-the battle within on his birthday in an Action avataar along with @zeestudiosofficial To be directed by @itskapilverma Produced by @zeestudiosofficial @khan_ahmedasas." More about the film, Ahmed told a leading entertainment portal, "The film revolves around emotionally disturbed relationships in the line of duty. Kapil Verma will jump into direction with some larger-than-life action sequences."

More about the debutant director Kapil Verma then he is the son of renowned actor, Tinu Verma. The film is reported to be shot in India as well as abroad. Earlier it was also rumored that the film will go on the floors soon and Ahmed has locked Sanjana opposite Aditya for the film. Before her director was in the talk with Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani but prior to their professional commitments to respective projects, Ahmed went on with Sanjana. The film is slated to release in the second half of 2021.
