While sharing a short video on drawings made by 35 children, Madhurya Creations wrote on Instagram, "The story of @aliaabhatt's #Diwali2020 Lehenga by #Madhurya ✨ `My Beautiful Planet` - is a collection of drawings made by 35 children studying in free schools of AOL. Each panel of the lehenga represents a part of our beautiful #earth - the two poles, deserts, seas, oceans, waterfalls, tropical rainforests, river-beds and even our Solar system! Furthermore, the lehenga is made from 100% waste fabric, and it helped 13 karigars get work during the 4 most rough months of the pandemic. The day #Alia chose to wear it, couldn't be better timed - it is Children's Day and Diwali 💥🌸 Thank you @aliaabhatt once again, each of the 35 children will feel like a top-fashion-designer when they hear the news 💖." Well, her lehenga is entirely made out of waste organic fabric and it took for months to be made by 13 craftsmen. The lehenga also had a few words from Alia's song Ae Watan embroidered on the dupatta. While sharing the picture of the same lehenga on Instagram, Alia wrote, `This Diwali I wanted to do something different, instead I wore something different. This lehenga is a labour of love of so many amazing people - the children of AOL free schools whose names are embroidered on it and karigars who worked across many months. Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali 🪔 and hope everyone's in the pink of health, just like my outfit 🌸." Check out her post here -
