If we take down the Bollywood history with the film based on an anthology genre then there are only a few names that actually leave an impression on the audience. With the film like Life in a Metro, which was a big success at the box-office, Anuarga Basu came up with his recently digitally released film, 'Ludo' which was an anthology film. Ludo received several critical acclaim for his perfect storyline and establishment of characters with equal spaces in the film. Now it has been reported that Anurag is working towards the film's sequel which will be produced under the banner of the T-series.

Well, Ludo sequel is a part of Anurag's collaboration with Bhushan Kumar over multiple projects. On his forthcoming projects, Anurag said, "While working on Ludo with Bhushanji it was an easy and smooth collaboration on cinema which we both are passionate about. I am glad that we have more projects we plan to jointly work towards and create fascinating stories."

Talking about the sequel, Bhushan Kumar said, "Anurag Dada is one of the finest filmmakers in the country and has done a superlative job with Ludo. He has many mind-blowing story ideas I am keen on collaborating with him for one of which is Ludo 2. We will soon make an official announcement of our next film once everything is finalised."

Ludo is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, Tani Basu and Deepshika Bose under the banners of T-Series, Anurag Basu Productions and Ishana Movies. It stars an ensemble cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Suresh Saraf, Pearle Maaney and Inayat Verma. The film was released on 12 November 2020 coinciding with Diwali on Netflix.
