Amazon Prime's sports drama Inside Edge has received positive critical reception and was even nominated for Best Drama series at 46th International Emmy Awards. The series centers on the Mumbai Mavericks, a fictional T20 cricket team, whose owners operate a league-wide spot-fixing syndicate. In the series, Angad Bedi plays the captain of a cricket team 'Haryana Hurricanes' in Inside Edge season 1. Angad Bedi reprises his role of Arvind Vashishth in Inside Edge 2 where he plait's the skipper of a new cricket team. But now according to Angad Bedi, he will not be seen in the third installment of the series.
As per Angad's interview with a leading media portal, "Arvind won't be a part of Inside Edge season 3. Some of it has to do with the fact that work on the character was being done the same time I was shooting for Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. You can't be at two places at once."
He further added, "I also felt and perhaps so did the writers that Arvind doesn't have a lot to add to the story this time around. No character is bigger than the story. Inside Edge has the ability to go for a while because it's got amazing writers, cricket is a religion and the PPL can go on for ages. But I won't be a part of season 3 because I wouldn't have much to do for the story as a character."
He concluded his part with hope, "Arvind has that energy. There's always the calm before the storm and the storm will come with season 4." Well, now we have to wait and watch whether he will return for season 4 or not.
