Sania Mirza, our Indian tennis star, is about to debut her acting career with a web-series 'MTV Nishedh Alone Together' to spread awareness about the deadly disease, Tuberculosis (TB).

In one of her interviews, she stated that through the web series, she wants to inform people about this disease but in a different and powerful way. Because TB is one of those chronic health issues in our nation. And it is affecting mostly youth under the age of 30, so there is an essential need to tackle delusions around it and drive a new perception.

She also talked about how the coronavirus pandemic increases the risk of TB and fighting against it is now more difficult. And here she'll play a role in it. Sania hopes to do something good and to find a way to collectively fight against TB.

It's a five-episode web-series that will showcase the story of a newlywed couple, Vicky and Megha who face several complications after the lockdown due to pandemic. Syed Raza Ahmed and Priya Chauhan will play the role of this couple.

And Sania will be seen speaking about the hurdles faced by young couples during the lockdown. Apart from them, Akshay Nalwade and Ashwin Mushran will also feature in this show. It is listed to be out on social media handles of MTV India & MTV Nishedh at the end of November.
